You have a shipment of goods coming from outside the European Union, and you want to have this shipment forwarded to Eastern Europe or Russia through J. van de Put. In order to transport your shipment over European Union territory to Eastern Europe or Russia, transit documents have to be drawn up. Transit documents are required to be able to demonstrate to Customs that the goods have been transported across EU territory to Eastern Europe and have not accidentally entered the EU market. Transit documents are also known as T-1 or TIR documents.
